FMBC SCHOLARSHIP

 

 

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Member of FMBC who attends/attended church regularly, actively participates/participated in at least one (1) church ministry.  

  • Recent high school graduate at the time of initial application  OR

  • Prior award recipient who is renewing eligibility as an undergraduate student in good academic standing. 

  • If attending a community college, must complete a maximum of 4 semesters within 3 years of graduating from high school.

  • Must be single and not older than 23 years old.

   APPLICATION GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES:

  • All high school seniors are eligible to apply for scholarship per school semester.  

  • Applications may be obtained from the door of the church Sunday School Superintendent.

  •  Application packet must be fully completed and submitted with required signatures and supporting documents by

  • September 23, 2022 for Fall enrollment and by January 27, 2023 for Spring enrollment.

  • Application packet must be mailed to the P.O. Box 6175, Gulfport, MS 39506 or emailed to secretary@fmbchandsboro.org 

  • by due dates on application.

 

  • Incomplete and/or late applications will be not be accepted. 

  • Student and or parent must be a church member in good standing.

  • Parent must reside in Harrison, Hancock, or Jackson County.

The purpose of the FMBC Scholarship Memorial Fund is to encourage educational growth and to provide financial assistance to

FMBC members who are seeking higher education at a college or university.  

 

The fund assists graduating high school seniors and renewal applicants who are enrolled for completion of an undergraduate

degree.  The minimum award, based on availability of funds, is $400.00 per school semester  for full time enrollment

(as determined by the school).  The award will be pro-rated for students who are enrolled less than full time.   Scholarship awards

will be paid to the student as a one-time award per semester.

 

Scholarship awards are not automatically renewed for successive school terms or years.  Current recipients must submit a new

application to be eligible for renewal.
